I came from Canada on a work trip & stopped at this sub place. Hands down one of the best sandwiches i’ve had. I had the pulled pork.-Very flavorful & fresh soft bread.
The woman who worked there was very friendly and nice to speak to
I have never been to this place, and when I pulled up, I was very leery about going in. I mean, how good can a sub shop be attached to a gas station?
Wow, I am so glad I stopped. I started with the Mushroom and Brie soup, which was the equivalent of something you'd find in a five-star restaurant. I followed that up with the Reuben James that tickled all of my taste buds. They used an oil and vinaigrette mix on a sesame seed sub roll that was just out of this world. And they packed it with plenty of delicious fresh cut meats and cheeses. So much so that it was hard to keep the sandwich together at the end.
If you happen to be near the airport, this little sub shop just to the north, is well worth a visit. You won't regret it. And you'd be hard-pressed to find a sub that tastes quite like it.
they gave me hard time said its policy's that i couldnt have a turkey Sandwich with gold coast seasoning it wont taste right who does this rude worker telling a paying customer that i cant have it i have to buy ham to get the seasoning number # i dont eat ham #2 then refused to serve me telling me to leave #3 having a employee come from the back to try and have him make me leave. i find the Original Suburpia to be my last thing i do as unprofessional and if they have there policy they need to post it as i will never eat there ahain and believe all friends will hear about this also
The customer before me walked out with an Iowa Oinker, pulled pork.
It was my first visit, I got one too.
Added onion upon recommendation from the Suburpia rep. That particular diced onion was a perfect fit for the sandwich.
Excellent sesame roll. I think it had butter on it. Good stuff. Just might be the best sandwich on Layton. I’ll be bock
Had the classic. I ordered ahead, and it was done early. She was so happy to help me. Suburpia is very nostalgic to me, but if it's your first time, you'll most likely love it. Just eat it correctly.
Used to go to suburbia when I was 15 and I am now 59. Didn’t even know there were any more suburbia‘s around. After finding out there was one in Oak Creek. I couldn’t wait to get there. Ordered the one I used to get forever the gold coast, and also a turkey sandwich. After getting home and taking the sandwiches out of the bag, there was probably about an inch of oil in the bottom of the bag. The bread was completely soaked in oil and oh my God slices of American cheese yuck! Drove all the way back and got different sandwiches. They were OK. I must say I will never go back.
Sub sandwiches just do not come any better than at Suburpia! The freshness of the ingredients, the spices they use and the generous portions. The trifecta ! I only wish that they'd open up more shops. I pick up a sandwich or 2 every time that I'm in Milwaukee.
This WAS great. They used to have an Italian oregano seasoning they put on the onions and oil and they recently changed to a Cajun style seasoning and it completely changed the flavor profile.
